Kate O’Keeffe is a designer based in the Central Coast NSW that is passionate about illustration, brand identity and loves a good creative problem.

Working for over 15 years in the technology corporate sector as an in-house designer, with a focus on branding and identity where the most creative or design-led ideas were not always favoured. There has been a need to keep that creative flame burning, which has come through in my passion projects and side quests.

Brother International Australia

2009 – 2024

As a Senior Graphic Designer for Brother Australia I managed another Graphic Designer and distributed the workload and was responsible for maintaining and safeguarding the Brother Brand. I helped initiate and led the design process through all sales and marketing collaterals and worked to ensure an excellent output and customer experience (internally and for the end user). With experience in most Adobe programs and working knowledge of Canva, Wordpress, Dropbox, Flipsnak, Creatopy among other platforms my working day was varied and well executed albeit uninspiring most of the time.

Side Quests + Passion Projects

2020-current

I try to dedicate time outside of the day job to these as much as possible and some of these projects have fuelled other ideas or ways of approaching my work. I want to always try new things and keep learning and these side quests allow me to do this and follow my own path for each new brief.

Etc.

2007–2015

Outside of work, I never seem to have time for the hobbies I love like cross-stitching, weaving or drawing in Procreate. I have also tried my hand at pottery, painting and crochet with varied levels of success :) You can find me endlessly finding snacks for my always hungry 5 year old and 2 year old or staying up on instagram scrolling.
